IT Summer Intern
We are seeking a motivated and proactive IT Intern with a foundation in Python programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. The intern will assist our development team in various stages of software development in an Agile environment. The individual will gain hands-on experience in coding, testing, report design / creation, and database principles.
What you’ll do: - Assist in documentation and understanding of User Stories
- Participating in the creation / maintenance of program specifications
- Collaborate with other developers to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software utilizing Python libraries and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Document and maintain solution / software functionality.
- Create / update Power-BI reports
- Create / update task information in Jira
- Participate in team meetings
What is required:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field holding a Junior or Senior standing.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with Python libraries and frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, PEP 8 / clean code design principles) is a plus.
- Familiarity with GIT is a plus.
- Basic SQL understanding
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills
