IT Summer Intern

We are seeking a motivated and proactive IT Intern with a foundation in Python programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. The intern will assist our development team in various stages of software development in an Agile environment. The individual will gain hands-on experience in coding, testing, report design / creation, and database principles.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in documentation and understanding of User Stories
• Participating in the creation / maintenance of program specifications
• Collaborate with other developers to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software utilizing Python libraries and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Document and maintain solution / software functionality.
• Create / update Power-BI reports
• Create / update task information in Jira
• Participate in team meetings 

What is required:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field holding a Junior or Senior standing.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Familiarity with Python libraries and frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, PEP 8 / clean code design principles) is a plus.
• Familiarity with GIT is a plus.
• Basic SQL understanding
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills
