About the job HR Manager Key Responsibilities: HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company goals and California employment laws. Provide strategic guidance to leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new employees. Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to attract top talent. Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing workplace issues and facilitating conflict resolution. Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and open communication. Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with California labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, leaves of absence, and workplace safety. Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports for audits or regulatory requirements. Compensation & Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Partner with finance to manage payroll and ensure equitable and competitive compensation practices. Training & Development: Design and implement training programs to support employee growth, leadership development, and compliance requirements. Foster a learning environment that supports career progression and skill enhancement. Performance Management: Oversee the performance review process and provide tools and resources to managers for effective evaluations. Identify opportunities for employee improvement and recommend appropriate development plans. Health & Safety: Ensure workplace safety compliance with CA/OSHA standards. Lead initiatives promoting employee well-being and work-life balance. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Thorough knowledge of California labor laws and regulations. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, BambooHR, ADP, Workday). Prefers the candidate who is native English with some Korean language skills. Korean doesn't have to be fluent. Prefers college graduates in the U.S. DHD Consulting
