Housekeeper – Full Time – No Weekends

Full Time Employment – 6:30 am to 2:30 pm – No Weekends

As a Housekeeper, you will help to provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents. As a Laundry Aide you will help our residents to look their best! Providing Misericordia with a welcoming & pleasant environment for all.

Your housekeeping duties would include:

• Perform general cleaning including, but not limited to vacuuming and sweeping floors.
• Dusting and polishing furniture in both resident rooms and common areas.
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and the restocking of paper products, cleaning mirrors.
• Cleaning stairways, entrances and exits.
• Ensuring that office equipment and windows are clean.
• Emptying trashcans and transporting to appropriate receptacles.
• Maintain a clean and well stocked housekeeping cart.
• Stocking supplies and keeping an inventory of cleaning supplies.

Your laundry duties would include:

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
• Removing stains from items using appropriate procedures.
• Maintaining the inventory of detergents and other like items.

Characteristics of a successful candidate:

• General Housekeeping/Laundry experience.
• Maturity and enthusiasm. A commitment to working with a senior population.
• Detailed orientated, self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate. Must be able to follow written and spoken directions.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
