Join to apply for the Hotel Maintenance Mechanic role at The Donohoe Companies, Inc. 5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants The Maintenance Mechanic will perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment within the facility, while acquiring skills and knowledge to complete the training required to obtain licenses. The hours for this position are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM - must be able to work weekends, Washington, DC. Pay rate $18-$22 depending on experience. Responsibilities include: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment. Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis. Maintain equipment to industry standards. Diagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by supervisor. Assist and support subcontractors in installation and/or repair of equipment and hardware. Interface with building managers and other client representatives to ensure satisfaction. Complete reports on system status as directed. Run wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications. Manage inventory and purchase materials and supplies as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Be available to work all shifts and be on call 24/7. Qualifications: Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systems. Universal CFC/R-410A certification. Prior hotel experience is a plus. Reliable transportation. Ability to lift 60 pounds and ascend ladders up to 30 feet. Excellent customer service skills. EOE, including disability/veterans.
