Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Horticulturist to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Horticulturist, you will be responsible for designing, planting, and maintaining all garden areas. Responsibilities
- Order necessary products and maintain all tools and equipment
- Schedule all plantings and horticulture related tasks in a timely manner
- Maintain landscaping environments including all acres of property
- Mow lawn , remove weeds and brush, and perform other skilled yard work
- Keep maintenance room in neat condition
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalen t degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of field related experience
- Operate motorized vehicle when necessary
- Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License and able to be licensed by New York State Lottery and New York State Racing and Wagering
- Must possess and maintain a n Herbicide Applicators License
- Must have general knowledge of the use of simple equipment used in building trades
- Must have a valid driver's license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor
- Ability to lift up to 85 pounds occasionally
- May work around thoroughbred horses
