Job Description
Aquinas College, a member of the NAIA and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced leader to serve as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach. The ideal candidate will uphold and promote the mission of Aquinas College while building a competitive and academically successful women’s soccer program rooted in integrity, leadership, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead all aspects of the women’s soccer program, including coaching, recruitment, player development, game preparation, and in-game strategy.
● Responsible for meeting the required roster numbers each year by recruiting and retaining student-athletes who align with the values and academic standards of Aquinas College
● Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes personal development, academic achievement, sportsmanship, and service.
● Manage the program’s budget and oversee inventory, purchasing, and maintenance of equipment and uniforms.
● Coordinate scheduling of practices, games, and team travel in compliance with college and conference guidelines.
● Hire, supervise, and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.
● Ensure compliance with NAIA, WHAC, and institutional rules and regulations.
● Engage in community outreach and contribute to departmental fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives.
● Collaborate with campus departments including, but not limited to, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Athletic Training to support student-athlete success.
● Other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics ie. Event Management and other secondary duties/roles.
Qualifications:
Required:
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
● Proven experience coaching soccer at the collegiate level or equivalent high-level experience.
● Demonstrated success in recruiting, leadership, and program development.
● Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel as needed.
● Commitment to the mission and values of Aquinas College.
Preferred:
● Master’s degree in a related field.
● Head coaching experience at the collegiate level.
● Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations.
