Title : Global Commodity Manager
Location : Dallas, TX
Schedule : Hybrid
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
Bonus : up to 20% bonus potential

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and optimize procurement strategies for direct commodities and streamline strategic sourcing strategies.
  
  
• Lead category evaluation and strategy development through data driven analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  
  
• Contribute to buying decisions and business needs assessments to align with overall purchasing strategy.
  
  
• Participate in the capital procurement process for plant-specific capital projects.
  
  
• Identify consolidation opportunities with suppliers to secure the lowest cost of materials, considering safety, quality, sustainability, reliability, and urgency.
  
  
• Mitigate supply risk by establishing backup suppliers for critical spend categories.
  
  
• Negotiate and sourcing contracts with suppliers.
  
  
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.
  
  
• Proactively identify and lead cost-saving projects.
  
  
• Manage RFQ & RFP processes, including interviewing suppliers, recommending sources, and analyzing quotations to prepare recommendations.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related major
  
  
• Minimum 7 years of direct professional procurement experience with commodity management experience preferred
  
  
• ERP experience including SAP, JD Edwards, etc
  
  
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and organization skills
  
  
• Ability to plan and prioritize a wide variety of activities
