General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated General Production Workers to join our team. The role involves taking products off the production line, which include reclaimed rubber pellets, buckfill, or rubber mulch, bagging the products, carrying them to pallets, securing the pallets with shrink wrap material, and preparing them for shipping. Additionally, you will assist around the plant as needed. We also have an opening for a worker with a basic understanding of quality checks, including initial inspections and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Take products off the production line and bag them.
• Carry products (up to 50 lbs) to pallets, secure with shrink wrap material, and prepare for shipping.
• Assist around the plant as needed.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of team members.
• Act promptly to stop work if unsafe conditions are observed.
• Participate in team huddles and stretches at the start of each shift.
• Engage in regular training sessions and cross-train others to enhance team capabilities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production or general labor.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. depending on the assigned area.
• Willingness to learn and be cross-trained.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 4+ years of experience.
• Preference for candidates with labor-intensive or production environment experience.
• Willingness to work in a potentially dirty or grimy environment.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 1st shift schedule from Monday through Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime. The position involves physical labor, including lifting up to 50-70 lbs., and working in a potentially dirty or grimy environment. Safety is a top priority, with regular team huddles, training sessions, and a focus on personal and team safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mexia, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
