At Chestnut Mountain Resort, we will help you find the skills you need to be one of the best Snowsports Instructors in the Midwest!

Position Summary:

Facilitates instruction, demonstration, and care for students of all ages and abilities for ski and snowboard instruction. Teaching may also include group or private lessons for all ages, or Powder Pups based on your interest and level of experience. Additional responsibilities include training and assisting students in using lifts, assisting students with their equipment, and teaching the Responsibility Code and general ski/snowboard safety!

What to Expect? (Daily responsibilities):

• Teach group, private, and Powder pup lessons depending on experience and preferences.
• Attend clinics and trainings with resort trainers and PSIA/AASI certified staff.
• Foster a professional, safe, and FUN teaching environment for all guests and students.
• Uphold Chestnut values and represent the resort at all times.
• Adhere to and teach the Skier/Rider responsibility code.
• Maintain uniform and equipment as necessary.
• Must be able to work weekends and Holidays as needed.

Qualifications:

• Excellent people skills and customer service.
• Must own your own equipment or have the ability to acquire equipment by the first day of on-snow training.
• Ski/ride competency (you do not necessarily have to be an expert; we will train frequently to build your on-snow skills).
• Ability to work outside in the winter for several hours at a time.
• Passion and a love for Snowsports and the outdoors!
