Job Description
Material Handler
Position Summar y:
Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment. May also utilize
forklift truck, cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job
requirements . Extra bonus of having your order picker/cherry picker forklift certification, with fall arrest and/or working at heights. May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational
requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
• Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
• Oversees safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
• Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine shipping
priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping, utilizing
knowledge of shipping procedures
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all
accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with finished goods that need to be shipped
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
• Identify, hold and segregate defective material
• Perform general clean up
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and
requirements
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
• Train others when required
• Assist in any activities related to lean and/or quality
• Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies
• Meet/Exceed targets as defined by the leadership team
• Other duties as assigned
