Forensic Accountant

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Accounting to join their Long Island client's team. This position is responsible for quantifying, and reporting financial losses related to insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze net income variations, evaluate revenue impacts, and assess expenses; review and categorize invoices, summarize losses, and assess inventory valuations
• Quantify costs and delay in startup expenses
• Research industry data for financial documentation and reconciliations
• Work closely with the insured, adjusters, legal counsel, and third-party experts
• Create structured solutions for supporting complex claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA highly preferred
• 3 years of experience in audit and accounting; insurance industry experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in reviewing financial statements, invoices, and inventory records.
• Ability to analyze industry reports and external data sources when necessary.
• Familiarity with commercial and residential insurance claims processes is a plus.

Compensation range is between $90-$130K annually plus excellent benefits.
