Overview

Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a portfolio of product candidates focused on oncology and metabolic diseases.

The organization seeks to make its first commercial hire to lead commercialization efforts for its lead oncology asset from clinical development through launch, and to strategize for subsequent assets.

This is a senior leadership role offering a unique opportunity to influence the company's growth and success. As a core member of the business and strategy leadership team, you will shape critical decisions impacting the company's future.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for the company's lead asset, aligning with corporate objectives and clinical plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify unmet needs, customer insights, and market dynamics to inform pipeline decisions.
  • Collaborate with R&D and clinical teams to optimize trial designs based on commercial insights.
  • Work with the Executive Leadership Team on new indications, targets, or M&A opportunities.
  • Develop revenue forecasts, including market sizing, patient segmentation, and pricing strategies.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive launch plan covering positioning, messaging, and infrastructure.
  • Represent the company at medical congresses and engage with KOLs, payers, and industry leaders.
  • Serve as the commercial voice on program strategy teams to guide corporate strategy and growth initiatives.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA, MS, or PhD preferred.
  • 12+ years in biopharma commercial planning, marketing, and product launch, with oncology focus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of oncology market dynamics, including competitive intelligence and payer landscape.
  • Experience in revenue forecasting, financial modeling, and P&L management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
