Senior Field Service Technician (FSR4) - Power Systems and Industrial Controls

Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 annually

Location: Multiple locations across the country

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 5-10 years

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Field Service Technician (FSR4) to lead and enhance our customers' field operations. In this critical, hands-on role, you will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining sophisticated electrical systems and industrial controls at various client locations. Your expertise will ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through superior technical support, preventive maintenance, and committed service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Service Support: Perform advanced on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex power systems and electrical equipment. Oversee inspections, repairs, and replacements of critical components such as transformers and circuit breakers. Lead system startups and commissioning to ensure specifications are met.
  • Customer Interaction & Support: Serve as the lead technical contact during service visits, building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with customers to foster long-term partnerships. Educate clients on system operations and document all service activities in detail.
  • Operational Efficiency: Coordinate with internal teams to optimize service delivery, maintain meticulous records of all service work, and leverage technology for remote troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards, conduct safety audits, and maintain up-to-date safety certifications.
  • Ongoing Improvement: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance service capabilities. Actively contribute to the development and refinement of service procedures and provide management with feedback on customer interactions and technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, or similar certifications are beneficial.
  • Experience: 5-10 years in field service, specializing in electrical systems and industrial controls, with a proven track record of managing complex maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Skills: Exceptional troubleshooting skills, expertise with field service and office software, excellent communication abilities, and robust time management.
  • Travel: Frequent travel required, including overnight stays.
  • Other: Valid driver's license with a clean record and a robust commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
