Are you passionate about the Construction industry? Do you have a knack for numbers, an eye for detail, and a deep understanding of electrical systems? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a Permanent Electrical Estimator - Construction to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in providing accurate and competitive estimates for our commercial construction projects. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of our projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your skills and make a significant impact on our company's success.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Electrical Estimator - Construction, your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and submitting detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
2. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
3. Using specialized software, such as Accubid, to create and adjust cost estimates.
4. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates.
5. Evaluating the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
6. Consulting with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
7. Conducting risk analysis and identifying potential areas of cost overrun.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the construction industry.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Electrical Estimator - Construction role, you must possess the following:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in using estimating software, preferably Accubid.
3. A strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and costs.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
6. The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
7. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
8. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
9. Professional certification as an Electrical Estimator is a plus.
