As an Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician you will work with medically to critically ill patients. This specific position requires a responsive, independent and patient-centered caregiver who continuously strives to offer the best experience possible. A caregiver in this position works days, 6:30AM-3:00PM or 7:00AM-3:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Position and connect leads from electrocardiograph machine to electrodes on specified body areas.Review patients record and instruct patients prior to procedures.Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.Identify and correct for wandering, interference and artifacts.Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.Maintain EKG equipment and supplies.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or equivalentSix months of experience related to direct patient care or customer service OR completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Paramedic or Medical Assistant ProgramPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Healthcare experienceCompletion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Paramedic or Medical Assistant ProgramOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
