Description

Dump truck Driver is responsible for delivering products to customers in a safe and productive manner in all weather conditions while providing professional and courteous service to all customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain safety awareness: wear all PPE consistently perform tasks in a safe manner and ensure others always work safely (either on-site or at customer locations). Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near-miss) as discovered.
  • Maintain safety awareness : Follow all regulations from pre-trip to return , perform tasks in a safe manner, report issues and risks as discovered (near-miss).
  • Understand all expectations for performance , company policies, procedures, and applicable work instructions for Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Housekeeping.
  • Operate and maintain machinery & equipment: support equipment as specified for safety, reliable operation, and consistent customer service performance.
  • Be an effective team member: wear PPE consistently, work safely and ensure co-workers do as well, follow all policies and procedures, set an example of good behavior, assist co-workers as needed, work as a team to achieve the production schedule, cooperate with changes in the work hours, days, shifts.
  • Complete all reporting and recordkeeping as required accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Able to communicate (written and verbal) in English (full proficiency is a plus)

Valid NC Driver License, clean driving record, and have reliable transportation to work

Valid CDL license, with two years' experience driving local delivery trucks.

Operate tablets, laptops and workstations using various software platforms

Able to lift (up to 50 lbs.), and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment

Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule

Communicate well with team members and supervision

Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team

Employees must possess the ability to perform the essential job functions successfully and safely within the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Employees must maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle an essential part of this position.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
