Diesel/Gas/Hydraulics Mechanic Since 1954 Warning Lites of MN has contributed to the safety of the driving public with pavement marking, signage, and traffic control services. The Role: The primary duty of this Mechanic role is to complete maintenance and diagnose and complete repairs on Warning Lites' Pavement Marking vehicles, while maintaining accurate maintenance records on vehicles as completed. The Mechanic's responsibilities include: Maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs Diesel/Gas/Hydraulics. Communicates regularly and effectively with Manager on all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs. Communicates regularly and effectively with drivers regarding vehicle problems. Ability to manage time effectively. Timely schedules repairs, oil changes and electrical work on vehicles. Maintains accurate and complete maintenance records on all vehicles, including DVIRs. Follow all safety rules and regulations set by OSHA and the Company and particularly the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens. Ability to interpret, communicate and follow company policies and procedures. Proficient with hand tools. Must have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency and submit time worked per policy Must have working knowledge of English sufficient enough to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information Preferred: Class A or B CDL license MN DOT certified ASE Certified Mechanic We offer: Starting wage between $35 - $40/hr. Most employees in this position are expected to earn $78,000-$90,000+/annually. Weekly pay Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401k, plus paid time off benefits. The expected compensation represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to training, experience, skills, work location, licensure, etc. Qualified candidates who are given a conditional job offer must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and criminal background check.
