Job Description
Seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our team in Butte, MT. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnosing complex issues and completing repairs on a wide range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes heavy-duty trucks, trailers, RVs and forklifts. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for diesel technology and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
· Conduct diagnostic tests using electronic diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical problems.
· Perform routine and preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
· Repair and replace malfunctioning components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and air conditioning systems.
· Perform major engine repairs and overhauls.
· Perform inspections to ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all services performed.
· Keep a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.
· Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles.
· Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of diesel engine, electrical systems and hydraulic systems.
· Experience with computer diagnostic software and equipment
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred
· Must be able to lift heavy parts and tools up to 50 pounds
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Must have own hand tools
· Pre-employment DOT drug test and random drug tests.
Preferred Qualifications
· ASE certifications are a plus
· Experience with Cummins engines
· Completed postsecondary training in diesel engine repair
Benefits
Salary range from $58,000 to $70,000 per year DOE
Relocation assistance
Medical, dental, vision insurance paid at 70% up to $800 per month.

4% company match on 401k
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
