Job Description

Job Function Details:

• Serve as a point person for their school’s faculty, staff and students as it pertains to Title IX issues as well as the school’s liaison to the Department of Title IX.
• Experienced in full-cycle of the Title IX process from investigation through appeal.
• Assist in conducting investigations related to Title IX and Title V . Client to review investigation process for accuracy
• Provide periodic updates at reasonable intervals regarding the status of the Investigation and cause(s) for any delay.
• Provide notice of the outcome of the Investigation in writing.
• Provide notice of the discipline imposed by the outcome.
• Participate in an appeal of the Investigation’s findings and/or of the discipline imposed.
• Evaluates whether investigations rise to level harrassment, discrimination or retaliation and works with HR Director for escalation process, as needed.
• Address student conduct issues and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Implement and provide supportive measures during investigations (i.e. access to campus support resources, availability of interim safety measures.
• Collaborate with relevant parties within a professional academic setting.
• Provide assistance with additional projects, roles, or vacation coverage as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree considered with 10 years Title IX investigatory experience
• Advance Degree preferred- Masters or JD with 5 years Title IX experience
• Extensive experience with Title IX and Title V regulations specific to California.
• Strong knowledge of supportive measures for investigations.
• Previous experience working in higher education environments (community colleges, universities, etc.) preferred.
• Proven investigative and analytical skills.
