The State of Louisiana, in partnership with Cambay Consulting, is seeking a Data Analyst to support long-term data initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for designing and managing data systems, coordinating data sources, and interpreting system requirements in support of agency-wide data strategy. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical, analytical, and communication skills to handle complex datasets, produce actionable insights, and support project goals.
• Data System Design & Management – Building and documenting integrated data systems using state-provided or project-developed resources.
• Lifecycle & Requirements Analysis – Understanding SDLC methodologies and translating project requirements into practical solutions.
• Data Modeling & Administration – Applying best practices in modeling, software development, and database management.
• Communication & Documentation – Producing clear written materials and oral presentations to communicate findings.
• Design and manage state data systems; coordinate input from multiple sources.
• Document technical requirements and support the creation of new or enhanced data systems.
• Interpret and apply knowledge of SDLC, testing practices, and project methodologies.
• Perform data modeling and support database administration activities.
• Analyze and synthesize large datasets to identify patterns and produce insights.
• Communicate findings clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
