Cryptologic Linguist Role:
We're seeking skilled linguists to join our team as Cryptologic Linguists. As a Signals Intelligence Voice Interceptor, you'll use linguistic expertise to identify, categorize, translate, and summarize foreign language communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee signals equipment in signals intelligence operations.
- Learn intelligence skills needed for military briefings and tip authorities when necessary.
Requirements:
- US citizen.
- Age 17-34 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Meet tattoo guidelines.
- No major law violations.
- No medical concerns.
Training & Certifications:
- Nationally recognized certifications available.
- 10 weeks of basic training.
- 5-20 weeks of advanced individual training.
- Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) with an 85+ score.
- ASVAB score: Skilled Technical (ST).
- 36-64 weeks of education at the Defense Foreign Language Institute required if not fluent in a foreign language.
Language Skills:
- Foreign communication.
- Translating and reporting.
- Detection and analysis.
This role plays a vital part in national defense, utilizing foreign languages for strategic decision-making.
