Construction Site Superintendent (Kingston, Ontario)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations at a residential construction site in the Kingston, Ontario area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-rise or mid-rise residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage schedules, subcontractors, and on-site personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
What You'll Do:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of residential construction sites, ensuring all work is completed according to design plans, building codes, and safety standards
• Coordinate and supervise trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
• Maintain and enforce site safety protocols in compliance with OHSA and company policies
• Monitor project timelines and work closely with project managers to meet key milestones
• Schedule inspections and ensure compliance with municipal requirements and Tarion standards
• Track and manage site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and material deliveries
• Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid project delays
• Foster a positive and productive work environment on site
What We're Looking For:
• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of site supervision experience in residential construction (low-rise, mid-rise, or custom homes)
• Someone who is structured and will follow instructions 100%.
• Solid understanding of the Ontario Building Code, construction safety regulations, and municipal processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency with basic construction management tools, including MS Office and project scheduling software
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Certifications in Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
