Northbend Pattern Works is seeking a proactive and self-driven CNC Machine Operator to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing our current capabilities and requires someone who can independently manage their time and contribute to process efficiencies. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up CNC mills efficiently.
- Collect and assemble tooling based on job packages provided by CNC Programmers.
- Ensure accurate machine setup and clamping for conformity.
- Manage and operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
- Follow setup sheets, drawings, and notes from the programmer.
- Conduct preliminary inspections and quality checks before removing parts from the machine.
- Clean, maintain, and perform minor adjustments on assigned equipment.
- Transport parts to designated locations as needed.
- Clean and deburr parts before they move to the next stage.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any non-conformances.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers and other shop personnel.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in shop math calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret simple part drawings.
- Competence in using and reading micrometers and dial calipers accurately.
- Strong communication skills.
- Effective planning and task prioritization.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with arms, move throughout the facility, and communicate.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision and depth perception.
