Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about providing in-person therapeutic support to children ages 3-18; experience with ABA, foster care, divorce systems a plus! Job Title: Clinician I or II (Licensed or pre-licensed) Location: San Jose (Hybrid: Primarily in person, some telehealth) Position Type: Full Time Availability during daytime and some early evening hours per week Monday-Friday. Our client base includes people experiencing family stress, trauma or separation including divorce, experience in the foster care and adoption systems, immigration, post-incarceration reunification, and families caring for children with emotional needs which make parenting challenging (such as neurosensitivities, developmental delays and mental illness). We support stability and trauma recovery through individual and family counseling, groups, classes, personalized parenting coaching and consultation, and family bonding retreats and camps. To honor our commitment to providing all communities access to excellent support, we accept a variety of insurance panels, private pay and subsidized sliding scale funding to ensure equitable access for all clients. Key Responsibilities Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of families to identify strengths, challenges, and needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Therapeutic Intervention: Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques through both telehealth and in-person services. .Facilitate sessions that focus on improving family dynamics, communication, and conflict resolution. Facilitate group therapy sessions to encourage peer support and promote emotional well-being (as applicable) Offer support and guidance to families coping with a range of issues, including mental health disorders, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Collaborate with families to set therapeutic goals and monitor progress. Education and Skill-Building: Educate individuals and families about mental health, coping strategies, and effective communication techniques. Provide resources and tools to help individuals and families build resilience and improve their overall functioning. Provide psychoeducational trainings to individual, families and community stakeholders Work collaboratively with other clinicians, social workers, and professionals to provide comprehensive support. Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision activities to enhance clinical skills. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate, confidential and timely documentation of client sessions, progress, assessments and treatment plans, and communication with external stakeholders. Prepare reports and documentation for internal use and, when necessary, for external agencies. Maintain accurate timekeeping of therapeutic and administrative service performed on a weekly basis. Qualifications Education: Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Licensing: Valid state licensure or certification required (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) ; BBS registration required Experience: At least 3 years of experience providing direct counseling services to diverse populations and experience working with children and youth.. Experience working with trauma, foster care, adoption, incarceration and divorce systems Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with both child and adult clients. Familiarity with evidence-based therapy modalities and interventions and ability to adapt techniques to meet client needs. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage caseload effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Personal Attributes: Empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive. Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to trauma-informed and strength-based practices Preferred Qualifications and Skills Fluency in a second language Certification in evidence-based modalities applicable to our population (such as TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, TBRI, ACT, EMDR, IFS, ABA, Brainspotting) Experience and skills with creative-based interventions such as play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, animal-assisted therapy, dance therapy, sand tray therapy Willingness to supervise BSW or MSW interns (As qualified); additional compensation applies Salary & Benefits At Lotus Family Services, we believe in ethical and sustainable services both for clients and staff.
