Position Summary
Our company is seeking a skilled Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a commercial motor vehicle to transport equipment. This position requires adherence to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. The driver must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport equipment, ensuring proper handling and safe delivery.
- Safely drive and operate the assigned vehicle for loading and unloading equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and complete required documentation.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, including performing basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluids and tire pressure.
- Communicate effectively.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record.
- Must complete a preemployment background check and drug and alcohol screening.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and tolerate.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years driving experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
