MUST HAVE CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (60 hours) certitifcation from credited school

Shifts: 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:00pm

Job Description

Assess the residents' needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans
Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of CMA processes and guidelines
Identify and communicate changes in residents' status to physicians, staff, and family members
Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated
Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition
Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority
Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC
Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair

Qualifications

Certified Medication Aide for the State of Iowa (60 hour class)
Current CPR certification
