We are looking for an experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, helping customers find the right products, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail sales, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a strong attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is motivated to exceed sales goals and provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
The UPS Store Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best- value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
The ideal candidate has:
- Previous retail sales experience,
- Strong problem solving abilities,
- Good computer and internet skills,
- A high Attention to Detail,
- A high school diploma or GED,
- A friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance.
- He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
- Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
- Outstanding phone skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
Shift:
Weekly day range:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Education:

A Sales Associate at The UPS Store plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this position:
- Customer Interaction :
- Work directly with customers to offer services such as packaging, shipping, professional printing solutions, mailbox services, faxing, live scan or finger printing, notary service and passport photos .
- Assist customers with their needs, answer questions, and provide guidance.
- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership.
- Sales : Confidently explain various products and services. This includes upselling and cross selling products to the customer at hand. You will be the expert and customers will look to you for answers.
- Packaging Services : Perform estimates and pack high value & fragile contents for shipping per training methods. Help customers select moving supplies.
- Shipping Services : Receive & process packages for US Post Office, UPS or Freight services including lifting & weighing packages on scale, accessing CMS shipping software, generating labels, providing receipts & tracking information to customers.
- Document Services : Operate binding, laminating, fax, digital printers, computers and other machines in a safe & efficient. Help customers select business cards, stationery, imprinted products, etc.
- Mailbox services : Explain mailbox service rates, benefits and the mailbox services agreement. Receive, log in, sort and place mail in mailbox modules accurately. Forward mail per customer instructions.
- Opening/Closing Procedures : Turn-on / Login to systems, tend to various tasks to open/close the store in accordance with store procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Retail Operations :
- Stock and organize merchandise in the retail area.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process sales transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
- Training and Advancement :
- Training is provided to ensure familiarity with products and services.
Proven performance can lead to increased responsibilities and advancement within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Willing and able to work 30 to 40 hours per week for a 6-day work week
- Looking for weekend shift Sat and Sunday 9-6pm and/or some days afternoon M-F shifts (8A - 7p et)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
