Local CBS 58 reporter Andie Berhardt recently visited Carthage to attend a Carthage Swifties meeting and interviewed members as they made friendship bracelets and filled out an Eras-themed “all about me” activity.

The next Carthage Swifties meeting takes place from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in Niemann Media Theater (Hedberg Library 159).
Inspired by Taylor Swift and a desire to build community, Lauren founded the Carthage Swifties in 2023. In spring 2024, the organization hosted their first annual Lover’s dance, which for many replaced prom and homecoming dances missed due to the pandemic.
