TEMP POSITION - Possibility of work from home after trial period.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to help us reconcile all financial records and close the books as we wind down operations. The position is temporary, running from August until the work is completed. We use both QB Desktop and QB Online.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile all financial accounts including bank statements, invoices, and receipts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data into accounting software.
• Prepare financial reports and statements.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Address any discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of documents for tax filings and audits.
• Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as needed.
• Support the management team with other financial tasks as required.
• Sort, organize, scan, catalog, and store records for easy recall.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the construction or roofing industry.
• Knowledge of Southwest Florida tax and business regulations.

Employment Details:

• Duration: August to December 2024 (or until work is completed).
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
• Location: On-site in Southwest Florida with Possibility of work from home after trial period/
