ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Barback for ASM Global/TechPort Center and Arena. The Barback is responsible for providing high quality customer service during all events to achieve customer satisfaction and provides support to the various retail stands throughout the facilities. Essential duties include assisting and overseeing all food and beverage requirements pertaining to the bars, assisting with ordering, receiving, and inventory of all accountable items, ensuring adequate storage of product by continual supervision of stock levels, ensuring quality products are delivered fresh and timely as guided by the Bar Manager, working in conjunction with Suite Staff, Kitchen Personnel and Stewarding department, ensuring proper grooming and sanitation procedures are followed, supporting event schedules and assignments based on business demands, ensuring customer service complies with standards of service, establishing and maintaining positive client relationships, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include being at least 21 years of age, TABC certified, ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Education and experience desired include high school education, basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures, sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money, and basic working knowledge of bar operation. Skills and abilities required include ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic math operations, carry out instructions, communicate effectively, work flexible hours, organize and prioritize work, work under pressure, and remain flexible. Physical demands include moving around the facility, standing for long hours, talking and listening, stooping and lifting up to 50 lbs to the waist.
