Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a large multifamily residential property in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will bring a strong customer service mindset, excellent organizational skills, and experience in residential property management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, tenant relations, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of repairs, unit turnovers, and capital improvements.
  • Monitor rent collections, assist with delinquency follow-ups, and support financial reporting and budget tracking.
  • Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Help ensure the property is in compliance with all local NYC housing regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records, including lease files, vendor contracts, inspections, and resident communications.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and move-in/move-out procedures to ensure a high standard of quality and service.
  • Support marketing and leasing efforts, including apartment showings and application processing.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in residential or multifamily property management.
  • Familiarity with NYC housing regulations and building codes is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
