Department: WCAS Economics
The Northwestern University Department of Economics anticipates filling an opening at the rank of Assistant Professor (full-time) beginning September 1, 2025. The Department invites applications from candidates in all fields of economics and from all diverse backgrounds. Duties include teaching, research, and advising graduate students. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. by the start date. Salary will be competitive.
Primary considerations for all faculty positions will be an outstanding research record, excellent recommendations, and teaching ability. Salary The expected base pay range for this position is $215,000 - $250,000.
This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment, does not include summer salary, and is subject to negotiation.
