Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Based on education and experience.

Your Role as a Special Education Teacher
  • Support daily school operations and staff supervision to ensure policy compliance
  • Maintain educational and counseling records
  • Assist with staff and activity scheduling per VDOE and accreditation standards
  • Contribute to student treatment planning and class placement decisions
  • Aid in curriculum development and provide instructional support materials
  • Help manage campus budget and oversee supply and equipment procurement
  • Report student progress to relevant stakeholders and agencies
  • Coordinate school transportation logistics, safety, and vehicle upkeep
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Facilitate inter-agency collaboration to enhance student services
  • Collect and analyze service outcome and quality indicator data
  • Support staff training, development, and HR-related matters
  • Manage behavioral crisis situations
  • Promote a safe, sanitary, and healthy school environment
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in any field.
  • Must hold (or be eligible for) certification by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) with endorsement in either special education or adaptive curriculum
