Job Title: Assistant Controller

Location: Honolulu, HI 96817

Pay: $87,000 annually

Job Type: Full Time Exempt

Schedule: Monday through Friday

 

Overview: A local non-profit that works with Hawaii’s children, individuals, and families to create safe and promising futures is seeking an Assistant Controller to help with this vision. The Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and serves as backup in their absence and interacts with the Executive Leadership Team and other internal/external partners. This position is under the direct supervision of the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership and supervision to accounting staff

· Oversees Payroll processes

· Is responsible for month-end closing and financial reporting processes

· Prepare reports and schedules for annual financial audit

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, plus 1-3 years’ experience in accounting required
• Experience in non-profit accounting is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
