Job Description

This is a part-time temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur they are filled from the pool.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manages and oversees exhibitions across Western Nevada Colleges three Carson galleries and provides guidance for the Fallon campus gallery management

  • Supports the Colleges mission by fostering community engagement coordinating multiple professional and student art shows throughout the year and creating educational opportunities

  • This role balances curatorial planning operations and community engagement to ensure high-quality diverse exhibitions that serve both the campus and broader community

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Art Art History Museum Studies Arts Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education plus two years of related professional experience in a gallery museum or arts administration including curation exhibition planning and events management. Experience may be substituted for the Bachelors degree (i.e. AA plus 3 years related professional experience)

  • Experience in planning and overseeing budgets and/or resources

Compensation:

$30-$50 per hour
