Job Description

Position: Acupuncturist - part-time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Holistic Health Manager

Position Description: Responsible for providing acupuncture services to clients at Holistic Health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide acupuncture services to Holistic Health clients as scheduled by the Wellness staff
• Assist clients in understanding the services offered at Holistic Health
• Consult the client about their medical history and the reason for their visit
• Give advice on lifestyle habits such as sleep, exercise and diet to improve client's physical health
• Create a plan of care that focuses on the client's overall health and wellbeing
• Help with the cleaning of the Holistic Health center
• Help with payments for Holistic Health products and services
• Clean and organize treatment rooms between clients; includes sterilizing equipment and replenishing supplies
• Provide front desk support as needed
• Comply with HIPAA privacy requirements and processes
• Coordinate with the Holistic Health Manager to ensure all tasks are being completed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Evening & weekend availability required

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Understand personnel and compliance records management; able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to employ flexibility and creativity in the face of ambiguity and challenge

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed by the state of Iowa in Acupuncture
