Accounting Assistant
The Accounting Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Accounting department, with responsibilities focused on mail processing, document management, vendor support, and basic Accounts Payable functions. This position supports daily accounting operations and ensures accurate handling and organization of financial documents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily
•Scan, upload, and maintain electronic and physical accounting files
•Assist with Accounts Payable processing and invoice tracking
•Support vendor setup, documentation, and communication
•Distribute accounting-related emails and internal correspondence
•Assist with data entry and administrative accounting tasks
•Support compliance with internal controls and procedures
•Provide backup support during peak periods or staff absences
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent required
•Prior administrative or accounting support experience preferred
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Ability to follow written procedures and meet daily deadlines
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
